In Quebec’s Côte-Nord region, a former elementary school has been transformed into a shelter for people experiencing hidden homelessness—an often unseen and overlooked reality.
The Résidence St-Joseph is a peaceful haven surrounded by nature. The organization’s mission is simple: to get a roof over their heads. Along with the changing northern seasons, the residents begin to heal and regain their self-esteem under the guidance of workers. In this safe and supportive environment, they find a place to call their own, and build a new life.
